Olupemi Oludare specializes in ethnomusicology and African studies. His research interrogates and contributes to the role of music and culture in human and social development. Olupemi is a lecturer at the University of Lagos, a Catalyst fellow of the University of Edinburgh, an associate member of the African studies centre, Leiden, and a postdoctoral fellow at the Utrecht University, researching drum language traditions in West Africa. He is a performing artist, composer, and culture producer, and leads the Ìsòkan Concepts company.
