Dutch Design Foundation is convinced that designers provide an essential contribution to making our world a more beautiful, sustainable and social place. We are optimistic but we also recognise the current issues and how serious they are. We believe in the forward thinking and action of designers and create space for this in the following programmes:

Drinkable Nature
How can we make the invisible visible, so that people reconnect with water and nature and take shared responsibility for a healthy living environment?
Restoring Balance Together
This Co/Lab explores, together with Heijmans and relevant system partners, how we can engage stakeholders in the water challenge in a compelling and tangible way.
Building for Wellbeing
In the Netherlands, various social and demographic developments are impacting experienced wellbeing. These challenges are leading to steadily increasing healthcare and societal costs. Health and wellbeing represent the largest expenditure in national and many municipal budgets. There is therefore a strong urgency to prevent healthcare costs: prevention. We see the transition from care to prevention as a highly urgent challenge. In this, the living environment — buildings and areas — can play an important role.
